Launch of Reading Challenge for Year 7 Parents and Pupils. There will be a poetry workshop for pupils and training event for parents on Wed 17th March from 6pm till 8pm.

Year 9 Technology and Diploma Options Following the presentations made to students this week, information relating to the Technology and Diploma courses available to Year 9 students next year is available to download here.
The start of the new year has brought with it some of the most inclement weather not witnessed in years! The lowest ever temperature recorded by our weatherstation at Wellacre was at 06:30am on 8th January, when the temperature plummeted to an astonishing -13.59 degrees celsius! 
As Wellacre continues to expand at pace, new state of the art facilities are transforming the school environment. We have recently had the opening of our new sixth form complex and early 2010 will see the completion of our Ecology Centre.
For the twelfth consecutive year, Wellacre has achieved their best ever GCSE results, with 90% of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C grades.
